I always played sports growing up including three varsity sports in high school. In college I began running half and full marathons. After 8 years of planning my weekends around when I was going to squeeze in 18 miles, I decided I needed a change to maximize my workout time. I quickly fell in love with the camaraderie, competitiveness, and infinite opportunities for improvement that CrossFit provides. You get a great workout in under an hour. There’s no waiting for equipment and members don’t have to decide what to do for warm up, workout or cool down. The progress is measurable so you know you’re getting better!
As an adult I missed the bonding growing up playing team sports provided. The push and the support teammates give each other. The CrossFit community replicates this environment perfectly! CrossFit is also infinitely scalable. I was able to safely do CrossFit throughout my entire pregnancy by modifying movements along the way. I’ve coached people in their teens through their 80s as well as folks that are a week out of surgery. Everyone can get a great workout that’s safe and right for them!
